- 0.94 FTE permanent full time Registered Nurse positions available with a 4 on 2 off roster pattern.
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and mental health scope of practice.

The Team: What we do
Te Whare Hohou Roko(TWHR) is a medium secure 9 bedded 24 hour inpatient unit based in the Regional Forensic Psychiatric Service and is part of the Specialist Mental Health Services within CDHB. TWHR provides multi-disciplinary team assessment and treatment for people whose mental illness has resulted in acts of violence or who are assessed with complex needs and known high risks. TWHR offers a range of individual and group therapeutic activities to support a person’s individual treatment plan via case management model of care.
The team is committed to supporting the person in their care and recovery alongside their family/ whanau collaboratively to achieve positive and safe outcomes.
The Role: Where you fit in
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team, ideally with experience working in a Forensic Mental Health setting, although we would certainly consider those new to the service setting.
This is a permanent, 0.94 FTE position, following a 4 days on, 2 days off, rotating roster pattern encompassing morning, afternoon and night shifts.
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Enjoy working as part of a team.
- A clear understanding of Specialist Mental Health Service care with a commitment to quality patient care.
- Forensic or acute specialist mental health nursing experience preferred but not essential.
