Here at Southern DHB, we’re up to the challenge of realising our vision of Better Health, Better Lives, Whanau Ora; and to help us achieve this we’re very focused on bringing into our organisation people who display our values of being Kind, Open and Positive, with a sense of Community.

An opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse with relevant mental health nursing experience (preferably in an acute mental health setting) to join our expert multidisciplinary clinical team on Ward 9b, the majority of consumers present with serious complex mental health issues.

We are particularly interested in hearing from registered Nurses who are dynamic and innovative and wish to join a service that is committed to high standards of practice that supports on-going professional development.   This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to become part of a group of staff that really do work as a team, in the adult inpatient mental health service.

All employees of the Southern District Health Board working with in Mental Health Addiction and Intellectual Disability Services are expected to demonstrate a commitment to “The Seven Real Skills” (Te Pou Workforce Development, see www.tepou.co.nz/letsgetreal).

Please note that we are only able to consider your application if you:
