Residential Support Worker

Te mahi tūranga - About the role

The residential support worker will play a vital role and will work alongside Whanau Whaiora in a residential whare to achieve their desired wellbeing outcomes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team and utilize our model of care to help shape positive routine and achieve lifestyle goals.

Ngā pūkenga, ngā tohu ōu - What you will need

  • A passion for working with people to achieve their aspirations
  • Practical skills and experience working with whanau whaiora
  • Ability to work with a caseload and work face-to-face
  • An awareness of Tikanga Māori practices
  • Ability to write case notes and intermediate computer skills
  • Enjoy working collaboratively with various stakeholders

Me toka pūmau ēnei - Applicants MUST have

  • Minimum Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognized equivalent or be willing to complete study towards this qualification.
  • A clean and full NZ driver licence and a clean police record.
  • Have NZ Permanent Visa or Citizenship
  • May be required to consent and undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
