Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week), Awake Shift: 11:00am-7:00pm

Pay Rate: $21.50ph-$27.00ph (depending on qualification)

This residential service operates 24 hours, 7 days a week, based in Swanson

About Service:

About Support Worker:

The successful candidate will be working at our residential facility based in West Auckland. The service employs both clinical and support workers who collaborate with the residents to help them recover from mental health and addiction issues.

The role of Support Worker, we believe, is the key ingredient for successful client outcomes. Consequently, we provide ample and on-going tools and encouragement to develop, grow and flourish in the role, striving to ensure an environment of learning, teamwork, and enjoyment.

Above all, we are looking for those who can embrace the breadth and variety of the role, which ranges from basic practical help to pioneering therapeutic support.

The candidate must have:

  • Must have a certificate in Health and Wellbeing L4 or equivalent.
  • Valid current work visa, residency, or citizenship.
  • Full NZ Drivers Licence.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working in the area of mental health and/or AOD
  • Be a clear and effective communicator
  • Have emotional maturity and be respectful
  • Be positive and encouraging with a good sense of humour.
  • Hang in there when the going gets tough.
  • Value working with clients and their whānau
  • Have an open and engaging manner
  • Have an eye for detail and a focus on quality
  • Be professional and have good boundaries and ethics
  • Able to work on a rostered awake shift 11:00pm – 7:00am
  • Fully vaccinated including a Booster vaccination
