The Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission brings leadership and oversight to the transformation of our mental health and addiction system, and contributes to better and equitable mental health and wellbeing outcomes for all people in Aotearoa.

Due to an internal secondment we are looking for an experienced Senior Executive Assistant.

You will provide professional, high quality, timely one-to-one executive support to the Chief Executive, Board Chair and Board members to ensure smooth operation of the office of the Chief Executive.

The position covers a breadth of activities so you can look forward to a varied role.

You will have the following:

  • Significant experience as a Senior Executive Assistant in a Government Organisation
  • Excellent organisational skills along with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the capacity to manage relationships at all levels, including with the Board, the Ministry of Health and other health sector leaders
  • Proven record of delivery of high-quality work, including when working with ambiguity and time constraints
