Service Coordinator - Home Support - North Auckland, Central Auckland

Spectrum Care provides support for people with disabilities and their whanau. We believe in lives of choice, inclusive communities and daring to dream. Our vision is 'Every person with a disability deserves a life of choice, freedom and independence'.

We have a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Service Coordinator to join our Home Support team.

Our Home Support service provides individual assistance to children, young people and adults with autism and/or intellectual disability, within their homes and out in the community. As a Service Coordinator, you will collaborate with people that we support and their families to create individualised goal plans. You will be responsible for recruiting, managing and coaching a team of Home Support staff to ensure the provision of quality support.

The ideal candidate will also have an interest in business systems and development, as this team will be working closely with other services (Supported Independent Living and Choices in Community Living), with a view to sharing staff and approaches. The team are also working to maximise the value/use of our new CRM system, which includes our rostering, so being technically adept with software is a huge benefit, though not necessarily a requirement.

This role is based at our Head Office in Greenlane, but is responsible for the wider North Auckland region. As it is a mobile role, you will be provided with a car, laptop and phone. We're moving towards more flexible working arrangements so talk to us about what that looks like for you.

We're ideally looking for people with:

  • A good working knowledge of the New Zealand disability sector
  • A commitment to person centred approach, in terms of the development of individualised services and support
  • Diploma or Bachelors level qualification in an industry related field
  • Significant previous experience working with people with disabilities, or in education or training
  • Innovative problem-solving
  • Experience managing people would give you a further advantage
  • Full driver's licence

If this sounds like you, apply today! Please include a cover letter, citing the reasons why you would be suitable for the role.

Contact Sophie on 021 306 673 with any questions.
