Brackenridge is a not-for-profit organisation that provides support to children, young people and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism and their families in Canterbury. At the core of our practice philosophy is our belief in all people and the rights of all to live in and be part of the community, and to exercise citizenship.
The key purpose of this role is to develop and lead service initiatives that support children and young people to create a great life This role requires experience in working with troubled youth, intellectual disability and/ or in mental health.
This is an exciting new role and we will be looking for creativity and initiative in service development and in managing finite resources. We are looking for someone with at least three years’ experience in this sector establishing and or managing programmes.
Your skills in building relationships will be key when working with the people we support and their whanau/families and proven leadership skills are essential.
Highly developed interpersonal skills and experience in communicating effectively across a diverse workforce, the ability to lead and promote change, and a strong client focus are all highly desirable as is the ability to influence others through effective communication and technical skills.
This position would best suit someone with high energy, enthusiasm, and resilience, who shares our passion to enable the best life that is possible for the people we support.
You will be joining a small dedicated and supportive team and you will spend most of your time in the community. Brackenridge will provide learning and development opportunities related to the position.
