We’re looking for someone to join our Wellington Pathways’ team, supporting people to regain their mental health and independence. Come and join our friendly, passionate team and work in an area that makes a lasting difference in peoples lives.
This position is for 32 hours per week, working on the awake night shift Friday to Monday from 10.45pm-7.15am. Friday and Saturday you will be working at Recovery House in Broadmeadows, and Sunday and Monday, Champion Respite in Canons Creek, Porirua – Please note we would consider splitting this role into two part-time roles. If interested in this, please advise preferred shift in your cover letter.
This is an awake position where you will be supporting up to 4 guests in an acute respite setting.
The night shift requires a very special caring person who will bring care and heart into the role with a "Whatever It Takes" attitude, have the ability to be good listener for folk who are having trouble sleeping and a knack for making the homely touches to our service - baking, cleaning, ironing are some of the required tasks along with file management on the computer, maintaining first aid and emergency kits and preparation of paperwork.

You’ll be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways Wellington Respite Service team - all with a common purpose to support people experiencing mental illness.
We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery focused way, you will be able to provide medication support for our people, good communication skills and have impeccable attention to detail.
- You must hold a current full New Zealand drivers’ licence
- Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- You’ll hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent
- You’ll have computer literacy
