The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

You’ll work in our crisis respite 24 hours service supporting people experiencing mental health distress which prevents them from being able to remain in their home environment. This setting provides short term crisis respite support. Your main focus will be working alongside individuals in the night to support their recovery, enhance their wellbeing, and help them live a meaningful life.
Sunday and Monday, awake nights 11:00pm-7:30am.
You’ll also
- Focus on the individuals needs and providing culturally safe practice
- Relevant administrative tasks, comprehensive notes and effective handover, and supporting and collaborating with your colleagues
- You’ll need to be prepared to support our clients to do whatever it takes using a recovery model
- While the people you support are asleep, you will be kept busy with other tasks like cleaning and supporting the day shifts with maintaining things like filing, first aid kits, emergency kits and preparation of paperwork.
About You | Mōu
You’ll hold the level 4 certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent). You’ll support people in a recovery focused way and be able to provide medication support for our people and have impeccable attention to detail.
You’ll have:
- New Zealand Certificate Level 4 in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent).
- A full New Zealand drivers licence
- You must hold a current comprehensive first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
