We have a part-time position available in our Adult Respite service in Tauranga. 56 hours per week, working a rotating roster:
Week 1- Monday and Tuesday, 11.00pm- 7.30am (16 hours)
Week 2- Friday- Tuesday, 11.00pm- 7.30pm (40 hours)
As a Support Worker working the awake night shift, you will be providing support for service users throughout the evening as well as being there to provide any support needed during the night. While the people you support are asleep, you will be kept busy with other tasks like cleaning and supporting the day shifts with maintaining things like filing, first aid kits, emergency kits and preparation of paperwork.

You’ll be reporting to the Team Coach and working with a team of Support Workers at one of our respite services. This service is a community service supporting people with a lived experience of mental health and addiction.
As part of our whanau your practice of whanaungatanga and manaakitanga will bring mana to the tangata whaiora that we support. We believe, and we will do whatever it takes to have every person feel great about their future. In the role of support worker, we hope it aligns strongly with our tikanga (principles) and kawa (practice).
We are interested to hear from people who have a caring and compassionate nature and work in a recovery focused way. You will have impeccable attention to detail and be able to provide medication support for our people.
- You must hold a current full, clean driver’s licence.
- You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
- You must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
