Support Worker

We have an opportunity in our Youth Residential Service for a part-time Support Worker who will join our dedicated team, based in Mt Roskill, West Auckland.

The Youth Residential programme operates under a unique residential-based Therapeutic Community that supports young people (rangatahi) with alcohol and drug addiction challenges. You will be providing support to rangatahi as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working rostered shifts (to be negotiated).

Our ideal applicants will have:

  • At least 1 years’ experience working as a Support Worker, or similar role
  • A relevant qualification e.g. level 4 Certificate in Health and Care (or willingness to work towards completing this)
  • A passion for working with youth and supporting them to achieve their goals
  • Experience of working in the health, mental health or addictions sectors
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • An interest in Māori and Pasifika people’s customs and cultural norms
  • A full NZ Driver's Licence
  • Reliability, honesty and common sense are also essential qualities.
