Support Workers

· Based in Wellington Respite Services

· Full Time position available

· Friday-Monday working Alternative weeks


We’re looking for someone to join our Wellington Pathways’ team, supporting people to regain their mental health and independence. Come and join our friendly, passionate team and work in an area that makes a lasting difference in peoples lives.

Friday to Monday alternating AMs and PMs weekly 32hrs. i.e.

Week 1: Friday 7am-3:30pm, Saturday 7am-3:30pm, Sunday 7am-3:30pm, Monday 7am-3:30pm. Week 2: Friday 2:30pm-11pm, Saturday 2:30pm-11pm, Sunday 2:30pm-11pm, Monday 2:30pm-11pm

As a support worker in our respite service you will be providing support for up to four service users at any one time throughout the shift.

Duties will include person centered approaches, medication support, supporting guests with daily living needs, provision of meals, cleaning, gardening, maintaining things like filing and computer work as well as hosting family, whanau and clinical teams

The Team

You’ll be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways Wellington Champion Respite Service teams - all with a common purpose to support people experiencing mental illness


We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery and trauma informed way, you will be able to provide medication support for our people and have impeccable attention to detail.

· You must hold a full clean NZ drivers’ licence

· Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one

· L4 - Health and Wellbeing certificate or a recognised equivalent is recommended.
