Opportunity knocks! Are you ready for a lifestyle change? We’re looking for a registered nurse with leadership experience ready to take the role and join our new team in Nelson.


Based in sunny Nelson, which is known for its local arts scene and many nearby attractions, you’ll enjoy a lifestyle that is envied by many. Pathways have a been delivering community-based mental health and wellbeing services here since February 2020.

The role

This position sits within our Crisis Respite service so we need someone who will flourish in this environment. As the Team Coach you will provide outstanding coaching to your team and inspire each team member to exceed their personal best and to deliver exceptional service to the people we support and their whanau. This role will report to our Nelson-based Service and Relationship Manager, who will provide support, coaching and region-wide leadership.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, with after-hours on call on a rotational basis, and based in Nelson.

About you

You will have great people skills and the ability to support and inspire a team. You’ll also have great communications skills and the ability to effectively manage relationships with the services we engage with such as DHBs, PHOs and the wider community and social sector.

  • You’ll be a registered nurse with the ability to work within the mental health sector
  • You’ll come with a leadership experience and you’ll enjoy working in a team environment
  • Ideally, you’ll have previous experience within mental health
  • You’ll hold a full New Zealand driver’s licence

The Covid-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 requires staff working in health-related services to be fully vaccinated (this includes any subsequent boosters).
