Team Coach- Registered Health Professional

Lead a caring and skilled team and provide innovative support to people experiencing mental health and addiction issues.


We’re looking for an inspirational leader to join our Pathways Residential team, as a Team Coach - Registered Health Professional. As our Team Coach you will have experience working in mental health, including leadership skills. You will ensure the efficient and effective use of resources for the team while fostering innovation and improvement in order to ensure our service is the best it can be.

This role is full time, Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.30 pm based in New Plymouth.

As a Team Coach, you will be part of the local leadership team, attend regular meetings and Team Coach trainings. Occasional rostered after-hours service is also part of the role.

The Team

You’ll be reporting to the Service and Relationship Manager and leading a team of around 6 Support Workers. This is a residential service supporting people with a lived experience of mental health. You will provide regular coaching and be focused on inspiring every member of your team to exceed their personal best in everything they do.


We are interested to hear from experienced leaders who have a current registration and the ability to support and inspire a team. As well as having great leadership, people skills and organizational skills, you’ll also have demonstrated the ability to work well with other services such as DHBs, PHOs, and the wider community and social sector.

  • You’ll have experience in mental health and a registered health professional qualification. Experience in the Taranaki sector is desirable.
  • You’re a fresh thinker, using curiosity and imagination to generate new ideas
  • You’re energising, inspiring others with enthusiasm and a take action approach
  • You’re a communicator, the sort of positive person who loves supporting, coaching and mentoring your team
