The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
As the Team Leader - Tenancy, you will be responsible for overseeing the tenancy managers with portfolios around the Bay of Plenty. This people-focused role is where your approachability, responsiveness, and genuine care will shine. You’ll partner with agencies across health, housing, and social services to build supportive, collaborative relationships.
Lead and inspire a dedicated team as they manage housing management, entitlements, budgeting, and more, while also overseeing the rental database and landlord responsibilities.

The role is 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm.
You | Mōu
- At least 2 years' experience in the tenancy/property management housing sector.
- Be able to work in a non-judgemental environment.
- High level of emotional intelligence.
- Level 4 certificate in Residential Property Management (preferred).
- Leadership attributes - prior experience in the same sector, particularly in assisting vulnerable individuals.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Full New Zealand driver licence.
