IIMHL video series: Can personalisation apply to mental health?

Publication date: 21 July 2014

Personalisation is a transfer of power from professionals to people, and from services to communities. This video looks at how personalisation applies to mental health services.

Rob Greig is chief executive of National Development Team for Inclusion (NDTI), a UK non-profit organisation that promotes inclusion for people who are most at risk of exclusion.

Personalisation is about people receiving the support and services they want, based on their choice, voice and control – rather than determined by services themselves. Personalisation gives people direct control over how money is spent to resource the support they receive.
