Once again the Consumer Leadership Development Grant (CLDG) and Workforce Development Grant (WDG) were both oversubscribed for our first of two grant rounds in 2017. The CLDG received 34 applications worth a total of $862,831.78 and the WDG received 76 applications worth a total of $619,754.79.

The total funding available for this round was just $537,500, with an even split of $268,750 for the CLDG and another $268,750 for the WDG. Our moderation panel, which includes a Ministry of Health representative, faced a difficult task.

On the whole, 57 applications were funded from 37 organisations combined across both grants. For the CLDG, we were able to fund 16 applications worth a total value of $257,020.77 across 11 organisations. In the WDG, we funded 41 applications worth a total value of $264,482.48 across 26 organisations.
