Health Coach Trainer and Health Coach
AJ is an experienced Health Coach Trainer and Health Coach. He continues to work as a Health Coach in a high-needs South Auckland clinic. He is also trained to deliver the CDSMP (Chronic Disease Self-Management) workshop from SMRC (Self-Management Resource Centre).
His vast lived experience includes work in finance, hospitality and as an OSAHD (Overseas Stay at Home Dad). It also includes challenges with his own mental health journey as well as family grief. To date he has been part of 17 training cohorts of new Health Coaches across NZ. He has health coached numerous whaiora in this behavioural change model, across multiple clinics with enrolled patients of 25,000+. He is passionate about the unique Health Coach model which above all else helps to support health access and choices to patients in Aotearoa and he is grateful for the opportunity to do this alongside a dedicated team.
