Arasi Time

Programme Coordinator

Rooted in my Samoan heritage, I am guided by compassion, tautua (service), and a strong commitment to community wellbeing. These values shape how I show up in my mahi and underpin my dedication to improving access and equity within Aotearoa’s mental health and addiction sector.

I joined Te Pou in early 2025 as a Project Coordinator and now serve as a Programme Coordinator for the Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addiction (IPMHA) programme. In this role, I support the coordination and delivery of training for Health Improvement Practitioners, health coaches, and support workers across the motu—managing provider engagement, enrolments, logistics, and programme documentation. I also contribute to the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) programme, supporting training that strengthens mental health knowledge and confidence within communities.

Before joining Te Pou, I worked across frontline roles within the Pasifika and NGO sectors, including as an Employment and Education Consultant and as a Service Coordinator. My mahi focused on supporting individuals and whānau to access opportunities, build confidence, and achieve their goals. Through this experience, I developed a strong foundation in community engagement, service delivery, and supporting integrated, evidence-based approaches to wellbeing.

I’m driven by the opportunity to uplift community wellbeing through high-quality training and meaningful relationships. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and finding joy in the small moments that ground me in who I am and who I am becoming.
