Kirsty Connell

Kirsty is currently the Health Improvement Practitioner Lead for Pinnacle Midlands Health Network, based in Taupo, and is one of the national HIP trainers. She initially trained as an Occupational Therapist in the late 1980s, and has completed post graduate training as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist. She has worked both in NZ and the US in public and private health care environments, in both clinical and leadership positions, largely in the mental health sector. Prior to her current role she was in private practice for 16-years, and the practice involved clinical work, consulting, supervision, and training roles, facilitating education and training for varying organisations and people on a range of health and safety, and health and wellbeing topics. She's really passionate about her role as a HIP and trainer, and says it's the best job she's had in thirty years!
