Kia ora, I am Marie Simpson, a social worker and health improvement practitioner in North Canterbury for Pegasus Health. I have been "hipping" since October 2021, and love the "front foot" nature of this role. I enjoy nurturing whaiora to work towards change both in one-to-one sessions (or with whānau) and in group settings. I am excited to be on a pathway of becoming a trainer and sharing my passion for this way of working with other HIP fledglings. I have previously worked in a range of other social work roles for NGOs, ACC, and in private practice. I live on a lifestyle block in North Canterbury, and enjoy watching my kids play sport, reading, crafting, and spending time in nature.
