    Trainer candidate

Kia ora. My name is Rohana and I am an Occupational Therapist and Health Improvement Practitioner based in Ōtepoti/ Dunedin. I am originally from Ōtautahi/Christchurch but have been settled in Ōtepoti with my partner and daughter for the last 8 years.

I have a background in inpatient mental health rehabilitation and had a diverse working life - from support work with adults with intellectual disability, to arts and circus teaching. I have a passion for working with families to empower parents with skills to help on their parenting journey and raising healthy resilient tamariki. I also love group work and am get so excited by the population health perspective we can bring to HIP work. I really believe in the difference the HIP role can make to both individuals and community wellbeing and find it an absolute privilege to be helping new HIPs learn the process and get started in this exciting and satisfying role.

Outside of work, I can be found spending time with my family, running around the hills and beaches, making art or jewellery or just playing ukelele with my friends!
