Application for the Mental Health First Aid Aotearoa Workplace Recognition Programme

Congratulations on taking the first step in having your business or organisation acknowledged and celebrated for your commitment to mental health and wellbeing.

To become eligible for the MHFA Aotearoa Workplace Recognition Programme, your organisation will need to have:

  • A minimum percentage of staff trained in MHFA Aotearoa (this varies according to the size of the organisation).
  • A minimum number of actions implemented with supporting evidence for the tier you are applying for.

To apply, please complete the form below. Applications are only accepted from an employee of the applying organisation.

Important note: Please only complete this form if you are applying for the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Aotearoa Workplace Recognition Programme for the first time. If you are a MHFA recognised workplace interested in applying for the next tier of recognition or if you need assistance or have any questions, please email mhfa@tepou.co.nz

Application schedule:

You can apply at any time, but applications are assessed and recognised at the beginning of each quarter as follows:

  • Q1. Applications received between September and November, recognition from 1 January
  • Q2. Applications received between December and February, recognition from 1 April
  • Q3. Applications received between March and May, recognition from 1 July
  • Q4. Applications received between June and August, recognition from 1 October
