Proudly working in conjunction with Te Pou, the national license holder of Mental Health First Aid® Aotearoa, One Less Thing are now delivering MHFA® courses nationally across a range of different delivery modes including face-to-face, online and Youth Mental Health First Aid courses.
Join us on July 23rd and 24th for our Blended Online Workplace MHFA Aotearoa programme.
About the course: The Workplace MHFA course teaches adults (18 years and over) how to provide initial support to adults who are developing a mental health challenge or experiencing a mental health crisis, as well as learning the signs and symptoms of common and disabling mental health conditions, where and how to get professional help, what sort of support has been shown to be effective, and how to provide first aid in a mental health crisis.
Blended Online Delivery:
Course Component 1 - Self-paced eLearning component (5-7 hours to complete).
eLearning must be completed before attending facilitated sessions with instructor.
Course Component 2 - Instructor-led facilitated sessions using Zoom video conferencing (2 x 2.5-hour sessions).
Zoom links will only be sent after completion of eLearning.
Day 1 Online with Instructor
- Revision of eLearning modules
- Mental health in the workplace
- Revising ALGEE
- Revising professionals that can help
- Applying the MHFA Action Plan in your workplace
Day 2 Online with Instructor
- Revision of eLearning modules
- Depression.
- Anxiety.
- Psychosis.
- Problematic Substance Use.
- Applying MHFA in the workplace.
- Available resources.
- Self-care.
- Applying the MHFA Action Plan in your workplace
After completing the course, you will be given a link to complete the Accreditation Assessment by Te Pou Mental Health First Aid Aotearoa. After the assessment, you will receive a digital Certificate.

- A MHFA® manual to refer to whenever you need it
