About the role
The Salvation Army Bridge Centres exist to provide safe, integrated, high-quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or substance use. Our services are evidenced based best practice and are known for being people-centered, caring, transformative and responsive.
The Salvation Army Bridge Programme currently has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Residential Support Worker Coordinator. Some versatility will be required in terms of variable hours and may include weekends.
The applicant should have experience in support work in an addiction or mental health setting, hold a National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work Level 4 (or equivalent), and have experience managing staff and completing rosters.
The ability to work in a culturally appropriate and safe manner with Maori and Pacific peoples is essential, as is a full, clean driver's licence.
What will your responsibilities be:
- To provide a supportive and safe environment for clients within residential housing
- Uphold The Salvation Army's Mission and Christian ethos
- Value and respect the individuality, dignity and privacy of each client of the Bridge Programme
- Preserve confidentiality of clients' personal information
- Maintain good communication with clients, family/whanau, and other team members
- Committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi as they apply to The Salvation Army Bridge Programme
- Clients receive care without discrimination on the basis of race, culture, health, sexual orientation or age
- Provide training for Residential Support Worker staff
- Complete rosters to ensure adequate cover is available for staff absences

Hour of work: This is a permanent, full-time role at 40 hours per week.
The expected salary for this role will be $76,173.48 dependent on experience.
