The role |Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
You’ll make up part of our Nelson based casual pool of Support Workers, so you’ll provide cover for our permanent staff who are on leave. You’ll be flexible enough to work across all of our Nelson services (community mobile, respite, residential and recovery), and pick up a variety of shifts (AM, PM, awake nights), and be available for shifts any day of the week, including weekends. The hours of work are not regular and are offered when they become available, so if you’re looking for a role with flexibility then we’d love to hear from you.
No two days (or nights) are ever the same! You might be helping someone with budgeting, cooking, or gardening, or supporting them to get to an appointment. Some days you’ll be encouraging people to connect with their community, other days you’ll be lending a hand around the house or helping someone build confidence and set goals. Whatever the day brings, you’ll be there with empathy, encouragement, and a smile.
You could find yourself
