The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

Our casual roles cover leave for permanent Support Workers, providing you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience across a range of our services.

Role provides the opportunity to work different shift patterns, AM 0:700 - 15:30, PM 15:00 - 23:30 and Awake night shift 23:00 - 07:30am

This varied role could see you working on a variety of different tasks:

  • Respite service - This role supports the day to day running of the Adult Respite Service.This role is varied and includes a number of tasks from supporting those staying in the house with day-to-day activities, to supporting with cooking, cleaning and gardening.You will also work alongside the team to welcome Clinical Teams to Respite.
  • Housing and Recovery service - Work alongside the team and be an integral part of promoting wellness and support people to transition to independent living in the community. You will assist people with day-to-day activities including accessing social and recreational groups, participate in community activities, education and employment, budgeting and welcoming clinical teams.
  • Mobile Community - Assist with household tasks, medication support, appointments, and community engagement.

The hours of work are irregular and offered when available. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You | Mōu

  • A current full driver's licence
  • A current first aid certificate or are you willing to obtain one
  • For our respite services, applications must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent, or are currently studying towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent
  • Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts across all services.
