Experienced Addictions Case Worker/Social Worker

About the Business

The Salvation Army Auckland Bridge Services exists to provide safe, integrated, high quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or substance use. Our services are evidenced based best practise and are known for being people-centred, caring, transformative and responsive.

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Social Worker or Addictions case worker for our residential programme based in Mt Eden, Auckland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of casework that provides integrated care for those experiencing co-existing problems of addiction and mental health.
  • Group facilitation
  • Working within the framework of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Model of Treatment.
  • Implementation of the Salvation Army Bridge Programme Policies and Procedures

Person Specification:

  • Degree in Social Work or addiction counselling
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good cross-cultural understanding.
  • DAPAANZ or SWRB Registration
  • Commitment to continuing professional development relevant to addiction studies.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, sharing information, ideas and effective practices while maintaining client and service privacy and confidentiality

Hours of work: This is a permanent full time role of 40 hours per week.

The starting salary for this role will fall between $68,000 and $102,000 per annum. This role is covered by the pay equity agreement and the final remuneration will be dependent on the years experience of the preferred candidate brings to the role.
