We are looking for a facilitator (support worker) to work alongside people we support in Cambridge.
We are looking for a passionate, reliable, flexible, compassionate person to join our team. If you are a great communicator, can think on your feet and keen to make a difference, we would love to hear from you. Having a passion for employment pathways and teaching people new skills would also be an advantage.
Mō koe | About You
You will either be an experienced Support Worker looking for a change or you are simply looking for a career where your enthusiasm and passion for working alongside others will make a real difference in people’s lives. To thrive in this role you will be:
- Self-motivated, energetic and flexible with a high level of initiative.
- Possess a great attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow with our team
- Is patient, understanding and passionate about working with people with disabilities
- Is honest and reliable with excellent communication skills
- Is flexible, adaptable and able to think on their feet
- A team player - work closely with and supporting everyone, creating a great team environment.
- A kind nature with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn and continue to develop your skills.
- Experience or knowledge of working with adults with intellectual disability and/or autism would be beneficial but not essential.
- A commitment to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all aspects of the role
- An understanding the enabling good lives principles and applying them would be ideal.
To work for us you must:
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at our cost)
- Full, clean and current New Zealand driver’s license.
- Be eligible to work in New Zealand
- Have a valid work visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry
