About the role
As a Healthcare Assistant at Te Puna Wai Kātea, you will be working closely with our registered nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists to provide rehabilitation to our patients. You will assist with activities of daily living and rehabilitation programmes.
As well as providing care and rehabilitation to our patients, you are required to carry out some house-keeping tasks to ensure our unit is not only clean and tidy, but safe for our patients to mobilise around.

About you
Successful candidates must have:
- well established mental state and risk assessment skills
- recent hospital health care experience, ideally in mental health
- a Level 3 qualification
- a team-focused approach
- adaptability and flexibility
- motivation and a commitment to self-directed learning
- excellent interpersonal skills.
