Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role
We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician / Te Ata Puāo Pūkenga Hauora Hinengaro to support Tangata Whaiora and their whānau experiencing mild to moderate distress. You will provide a blend of Māori health practices and evidence based clinical interventions, supporting whānau with holistic assessments, safety planning, therapeutic interventions, cultural korowai, and whānau ora planning.
This Wairau based role works as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting clinical and cultural practice, whānau advocacy, care coordination, and service delivery across our rohe.
Mōu | About you
We are looking for someone who brings:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in health or allied health
- Current professional registration as a mental health practitioner
- Strong clinical knowledge of mental health conditions and interventions
- Commitment to kaupapa Māori approaches and whānau centred practice
- Ability to conduct risk and cultural assessments confidently
- Experience collaborating across agencies and teams
- High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and mana enhancing practice
- A full driver’s license and willingness to travel across the rohe
