Due to the unique geography of the West Coast, we are seeking part time and / or sessional workers for a minimum of 5 hours a week.
This role supports the development and operation of a Tai Poutini West Coast pilot programme, focusing on the initiation and support of new groups. It is envisioned administrative tasks would be carried out through a working from home arrangement, with the option as the pilot progresses to utilise an anticipated hot desking opportunity in Māwhera Greymouth, should that be convenient / suitable.
$31 per hour

Speed Freaks Charitable Trust was established in 2021. We support recovery from addiction and mental distress through the vehicle of running and walking.
Our programme is delivered by local volunteer coaches supported by peers and staff. The Speed Freaks grow community connection, increase recovery capital and support inclusive communities.
Our kaupapa is to increase health and wellbeing, participation and inclusion, community connection, and paying it forward.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to weave pro-social relationships across a diverse population and grow community understanding of addiction and mental distress.
As a growing charity our development is led by participants, volunteer coaches and our wider community, who help shape how we move ahead.
This is an active role. You need to be able to comfortably run 5 kilometres (km) and walk up to 10km at a time, as you will be participating in group activities, including supporting and completing running and walking events on both road and trail.
You will need:
- Passion, positivity and a solution focused approach.
- Organisational skills.
- Passion for running, walking and connecting with the community.
- Confident use of computers / Information Technology, for documentation, reporting and communication - this includes social media and smart phone apps.
- Flexibility and motivation to respond positively in changing environments.
- The ability to generate and create a safe space for individuals, whanau and community to flourish.
- Excellent boundaries.
- A full NZ Driver License.
- Access to a vehicle & the ability to work remotely.
- To be able to work flexibly, potentially including some evening work, and weekend work around events.
- Knowledge of running, an understanding of running events, and to be able to comfortably run 5 kilometres (km) and walk up to 10km at a time.
- 12 month initial contract in line with position funding.
