Te Pou is a national centre of workforce development that supports the mental health, addiction and the wellbeing workforce in Aotearoa New Zealand. Blueprint for Learning is our partner learning and development organisation. Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
As programme lead, you will lead a national programme to support the use of Keeping it Real | Kia Pono te Tika. This framework describes the values, attitudes knowledge and skills required for working effectively alongside tāngata whai ora and whānau experiencing addiction and/or mental health challenges. You’ll work with a range of organisations and kaimahi across health and education to help build knowledge and skills through the availability of practical resources, learning, and strong stakeholder relationships.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Lead national programme and project planning, delivery, and reporting
- Stakeholder engagement across a range of health services, education providers and network groups
- Partner with lived experience to ensure people‑centred practice
- Manage the development of resources, e‑learning, and workshops
- Support organisations to use workforce assessment tools for workforce planning
- Ensure quality, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
This role is working Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm worked flexibly, based in either our Auckland, Hamilton or Wellington office.
Mōu | About you
- Ideally a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar position, or in a leadership role where you have had experience developing and driving new initiatives
- Knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga Māori and it’s relevance to this role
- A relevant health tertiary qualification with relevant practitioner experience in mental health and/or addiction services
- Able to travel when required.
