About the role
We are looking for Mental Health Registered Practitioners to join us and be part of an exciting and innovative new community-based service.
We recognise that whanau in crisis require more than just a health response and that the first point of contact should not be Emergency Departments or Police unless required. We are designing a service that brings access to key health and social services for people in mental health crisis into one place. You will join a team who manage crisis situations over a 24/7 roster. The primary function of the crisis team is to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment to people presenting with mental health crisis.

About the Team/Service/Location
You will join a diverse multidisciplinary service delivering high-quality, patient-focused care with a whanau ora approach. This will involve working collaboratively with the Emergency Department, Community Mental Health, Home-Based Treatment, Mental Health Inpatient Service, GPs, Psychiatrists, Police, and other community agencies.
You will work together with our clinical and non-clinical mental health and addictions staff, cultural support staff, and other community support services to ensure patients are getting better health outcomes.

About you
The successful candidate will be joining a department that is committed to continuing improvement for the wellbeing of patient care. You will be innovative, energetic, and show clinical excellence.
You will also need the following key attributes and skills:
- Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
- Experience working in mental health (ideally more than five years)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
