<p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p>

<p>The Salvation Army Bridge Centres exists to provide safe, integrated, high-quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or substance use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our services are evidenced based best practice and are known for being people-centered, caring, transformative and responsive.</p>

<p>The Salvation Army Bridge Programme currently has a vacancy for a <strong>suitably qualified and experienced senior Residential Support Worke</strong>r to be our Coordinator. Versatility will be required regarding hours, and will include one shift per weekend. This is a split role covering 2 days as a residential support worker and 3 days in the co-ordinator role, and includes meeting with team members on other sites across all shifts. </p>

<p>The applicant must have <strong>experience</strong> in support work in an addiction or mental health setting, hold a National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work Level 4 (or equivalent), and have experience managing staff and completing rosters.</p>

<p>The ability to work in a culturally appropriate and safe manner with Maori and Pacific peoples is essential as is a full / clean driver's license. </p>

<p><strong>What will your responsibilities be:</strong></p>

<ul><li>To provide a supportive and safe environment for clients within an alcohol and drug residential treatment facility.</li><li>Uphold The Salvation Army's Mission and Christian ethos.</li><li>Value and respect the individuality, dignity and privacy of each client of the Bridge Programme.</li><li>Preserve confidentiality of clients' personal information.</li><li>Maintain good communication with clients, family/whanau, and other team members.</li><li>Committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi as they apply to The Salvation Army Bridge Programme.</li><li>Clients receive care without discrimination on the basis of race, culture, health, sexual orientation or age.</li><li>Provide training for residential support worker staff.</li><li>Complete rosters to ensure adequate cover is available for staff absences.</li><li>Work across multiple sites.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Hour of work:</strong> Permanent <strong>40 hours</strong> to be worked either <strong>Tuesday to Saturday 7:45 am to 4:15 pm or Sunday to Thursday 7:45 am to 4:15 pm </strong></p>

<p><strong>The expected salary</strong> for this role will be between <strong>$70,030.06</strong> and <strong>$72,917.94</strong> depending on experience</p>
