About the role:
We have an exciting leadership position available for someone with a people-focussed mindset, to support the delivery of services within the Manawatu/Horowhenua and Wanganui areas.
· Provide effective leadership and supervision to staff;
· Drive quality improvement activities and contributes to regional and branch planning;
· Contribute to the region’s strategic / business planning, and lead implementation of agreed organisational change;
· Lead and coordinate high quality services that are creative, flexible, and responsive to the needs of disabled people and their families / whanau; and
· Develop and maintain positive working relationships with disability consumer groups and governance.

Job-specific information:
This role offers you an exciting opportunity to become involved in providing leadership to the Manawatu/Horowhenua and Whanganui branches. This position involves relationship building, support and administration, along with leading a team of service staff who provide support services, information, and advocacy for both disabled people and their family/whanau. You will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, compassion, and respect for one another.

About you:
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following personal skills and attributes and professional skills and knowledge.
· You will understand person and family directed planning and community development concepts
· Strong time management and organisational skills
· You have team leadership experience or can provide relevant examples that highlight these skills
· You hold a relevant qualification in Social Services or Human Services or equivalent qualification and/or work experience; and
· You may have experience working in a social services agency. Working with disabled children/youth/ adults, their families/whanau and significant others would be advantageous.
