Support Worker

We’re on the lookout for a Support Worker who’s ready to bring compassion, energy, and heart to our residential-based Therapeutic Community — a unique space where tāngata whai ora (people seeking wellness) are supported on their recovery journey.

Available shifts

  • Sunday: 7.45am – 3.45pm
  • Monday: 1.15pm – 9.15pm
  • Tuesday: 6.45am – 2.45pm
  • Wednesday: 9.00am – 5.00pm
  • Thursday: 6.45am – 2.45pm

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work alongside an experienced, multi-disciplinary team — supporting individuals to build confidence, strengthen wellbeing, and achieve their goals. Every day will be different, but every day you’ll know your work matters.

About You

You’ll bring warmth, empathy, and a good dose of common sense! Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience as a Support Worker (or similar role)
  • A Level 4 Certificate in Health and Care (or willingness to work toward it)
  • A desire to learn and live the Therapeutic Community (TC) model
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • An appreciation for Māori and Pasifika customs and values
  • Experience in the addictions or mental health field (bonus points!)
  • A full NZ Driver’s Licence

And above all — you’re reliable, honest, and genuinely care about people.

What we offer in return for your mahi:

  • Salary $57,159 - $65,748 depending on qualifications and experience
  • $2500 annual after hours allowance
  • Paid meal breaks + free meals/ fruit + paid study leave
