Te Whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

As Team Coach you will lead a passionate team of Community Support Workers, supporting them to work at the top of their scope and deliver consistent, person‑centred support.

Strong partnerships are at the heart of this role, including working alongside primary care providers, Te Whatu Ora, and Te Aka Whai Ora to ensure tangata whai ora and their whānau receive wraparound, connected support. 

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm. Additionally, you will be supported to be part of a rotating after‑hours on‑call roster.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Develop collaborative partnerships to support transition
  • Working alongside primary and secondary care services and the wider community to ensure optimal outcomes 
  • Building strong relationships in your community and being a good neighbour 
  • Providing regular coaching, leading and inspiring a passionate team 
  • Living your values at work and making a difference in your community 

Mōu | You

You will have:

  • A current and relevant New Zealand practitioner registration is preferred but not required
  • Experience working in mental health and addiction
  • A current full New Zealand driver’s licence
  • A current New Zealand first aid certificate, or be prepared to obtain one
  • Proven leadership experience 
  • A demonstrated ability and cultural competence in working with Māori, and an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
