Team Coach - Clinician

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This is your chance to shape the future of mental health services in Whanganui. As Team Coach you will:

  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of clinicians
  • Oversee the care of tāngata whai ora to ensure they receive expectional support in the community.
  • Mentor and coach staff, manage recruitment, development and performance.
  • Drive innovation and service growth to meet emerging community needs.
  • Support the team to exceed their personal best in everything they do.
  • Build strong partnerships with Health NZ/Te Whatu Ora, PHOs, and Social sector networks.
  • Report to the Service and Relationship Manager and receive the same coaching and support to achieve great mahi together.
  • Contribute to an on-call after hours roster rotation.

This is a permanent, full-time position. You will be working Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm. Based at Park Place in Whanganui, you will work across our services within the Whanganui region.

About You | Mōu:

You’re passionate about mental health and whānau wellbeing. You bring leadership experience and a desire to make a real impact. Ideally, you are:

  • An Occupational Therapist or HPCA-registered health practitioner (RN, Social Worker, DAPANZ, or similar)
  • Experienced in mental health with at least one year in the sector
  • Skilled in leading teams and collaborating across services
  • A role model for wellbeing and professional excellence
  • Holder of a full, clean driver’s licence

Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako

  • Relevant experience in leadership and managing others
  • A relevant qualification in leadership, management or a clinical qualification.
  • HPCA Clinical registration
  • Role model wellbeing and leadership, and support our kaimahi to do the same
  • Full clean driver’s license
