Disability Workforce Development Grant Programme evaluation report

This evaluation report was written by Te Pou for Mānatu Hauora – Ministry of Health. It covers the insights of the disability grants programme including its reach in the community, how well it met the needs of disabled people and the disability sector, the effectiveness of Te Pou’s grant process and benefits it provides for the grant and trainee recipients. It also outlines the programme’s role within the continually changing sector. Since the programme’s inception in 2010, several reviews have been conducted to improve the programme. In addition, the grant programme opened to allow individualised funding applicants in 2018. Eligibility criteria and grant priorities continued to evolve to factor and better reflect the Enabling Good Lives principles. This report presents findings and recommendations from the impact evaluation of the programme.
