Sensory modulation train-the-trainer evaluation full report

Sensory modulation is an evidence-based approach that supports people, through the use of sensory tools or activities, to help increase self-regulation, resilience, and enable participation in everyday life. It is used in inpatient and community mental health and addiction services across Aotearoa New Zealand. In April 2021, Te Pou co-delivered an in-person train-the-trainer workshop to assist DHBs to build their capacity to deliver sensory modulation training within their localities. It provided participants with information about ‘what to teach’ and ‘how to teach’ to enhance their understanding and confidence in training and facilitation.
