Tupuranga: a place to grow is a framework for consumer, peer support and lived experience (CPSLE) reflective practice.

The term "reflective practice" is used in place of "supervision" to greater reflect mutuality in CPSLE relationships.

The framework is made up of three fundamental, interconnected domains that describe what is unique about mātau ā-wheako CPSLE work. These are Experiential knowledge, Relational focus, and Attention to power.

There are five themes that come from the overlap of the three domains and each highlights a key aspect of CPSLE work.

Tupuranga is applied by reflecting upon each of these domains, as it relates to you, your life and your work, to guide thought and conversation. Questions contained in Tupuranga may provide a starting point for this exploration.

Tupuranga - CPSLE Reflective Practice e-learning

To support people to apply the Tupuranga framework in their reflective practice, Te Pou has developed a free e-learning, available now on Pūkoro. It is comprised of three modules, which should take approximately 30-45 minutes each to complete. It is relevant for anyone connected to CPSLE reflective practice, whether mātau ā-wheako CPSLE kaimahi, kaiwhakahaere/managers or reflective practitioners. The e-learning is engaging and interactive, and will lead you through the key messages of the Tupuranga framework.

You may find it helpful to read the framework before you begin the e-learning, but this is not essential.
