I began my journey in the Mental Health and Addiction sector 25 years ago, driven by my own lived experience and a determination to make a meaningful impact for others navigating similar challenges. Over the years, I’ve worn various hats, starting as a support worker and gradually working my way to executive leadership. Most recently, as General Manager for Pathways.

In May 2024, I was delighted to accept the newly established role of National Manager, Lived Experience, with Te Pou. My vision is clear: to ensure that the right resources, comprehensive training, and robust support systems are in place across the sector at all levels for the lived experience workforce. I firmly believe that recognising and valuing the knowledge and contributions of the lived experience workforce will not only complement but also strengthen the existing Mental Health and Addiction sector, leading to positive outcomes for all Tangata Whaiora.

When I’m not working, wellbeing is my priority, enjoying beach walks, being on the ocean fishing, and practicing yoga. Im also a proud parent of two adult children, who fill me with immense joy and pride.
