Te Pou aims to support the workforce and leadership development of the mental health, addiction and disability sectors through training and development opportunities. These are designed to support the training needs, and increase the skills and knowledge of people working in these sectors.

Addiction services employ a variety of people in a range of roles. There is no single correct pathway to join the sector, however, this information will show you the type of roles available and what training or qualifications area employers prefer.

Leadership training directory

This directory provides a list of leadership programmes available to the mental health and addiction sector in Aotearoa, New Zealand. The list includes programmes aimed at emergent and established leaders, as well as those open to anyone and those aimed at specific groups of people such as Māori, Pasifika, women, and the lived experience workforce.
