Charlotte Seath is a Peer Support Worker for Mind and Body Consultants, an entity of Emerge Aotearoa Trust. Mind and Body is a peer-led, mental health and addiction service provider that delivers peer support, advocacy, training, and consultancy. Charlotte facilitates wellbeing groups in the community and inpatient settings. She leads Mind and Body’s New Zealand adaptation of the Citizenship Project, a peer-led, community-based programme of education and connection.

Originally in primary teaching and education for nearly a decade, Charlotte has also worked in the charity and aged care sectors. Her most recent position before joining the peer and lived experience space was overseeing strategy, design management, and business development for a rest home and retirement village. Charlotte now brings her lived experience, along with an eternally curious mindset, to her work. Her lived experience journey includes addiction and inpatient alcohol treatment, anxiety, depression, and she has walked alongside whānau as they navigate mental health and addiction services.
