Juliana trained as a Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP) in July 2020.
Juliana is an experienced AOD practitioner (DAPAANZ), Trauma Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor and group facilitator who has previously worked in AOD, prison and Kaupapa Māori settings. She has delivered countless in-service trainings, seminars and groups over the years.
In August 2021 Juliana was seconded to Tu Whakaruruhau – Auckland Wellbeing Collaborative as a Clinical Implementation Lead supporting the implementation of the IPMHA services throughout Auckland. In October 2022, she was appointed as the Clinical Lead for the Health Coach Training team (Tāmaki Health), succeeding Leona Didsbury.
Juliana has completed a two day workshop for HIPs on Health Coach essential skills and is currently training to be a Health Coach Trainer. Juliana has worked alongside other HCs in clinic settings and this has given her the opportunity to understand the everyday work of a HC and the benefits it brings to patients.
Juliana is very passionate about the IPMHA services and genuinely believes in and sees the importance of its presence in clinics to serve the community.
