HoNOS family of measures Guide for Trainers

The Health of the Nation Outcome Scales (HoNOS) family of measures have been mandated for use by the Minstry of Health for outcome measurement in specialist mental health services. To support the uptake and quality of collections, a train the trainer model has been adopted.

This guide for trainers has been developed to support trainers in their delivery of training to others in their local services.

It relates to the family of Health of the Nation Outcome Scales (HoNOS) measures and aims to support greater consistency in the content and delivery of HoNOS training, while allowing for local adaptation as required.

It highlights key elements of training which are required and offers tips and suggestions to help create a positive training session and follow up.
