Kaumatua older people discussion cards

This set of five discussion cards is designed to support meaningful conversations among people who support older people experiencing mental health challenges and/or addiction.

Each card carries a message drawn from research with older adults, reflecting how they wish to be treated when receiving support.

How to use this resource

The discussion cards are for use in team training activities, team meetings or any space where they can add value – you could focus on the message of one card per session or give your kaimahi a card each to reflect on and share with the group.
