Kaumatua older people discussion cards

This set of five discussion cards is designed to support meaningful conversations among people who support older people experiencing mental health challenges and/or addiction.

Each card carries a message drawn from research with older adults, reflecting how they wish to be treated when receiving support

There is also a set of five A3 posters.

How to use this resource

The discussion cards are for use in team training activities, team meetings or any space where they can add value – you could focus on the message of one card per session or give your kaimahi a card each to reflect on and share with the group.
